Calipers/Gauges
Surgery calipers and corneal gauges are used in ophthalmology to obtain accurate ocular dimensions. A typical ophthalmic caliper allows to measure corneal or limbal distances, making them essential eye surgery instruments. RUMEX calipers feature fixed or adjustable tips ensuring symmetrical incisions and precise alignment in refractive or cataract surgery. Complementing them are specialized ophthalmic gauges such as a Mendez degree gauge to precisely mark the cornea's horizontal meridian (0° to 180°) before cataract or astigmatism correction surgery.
