Depressors

Ophthalmic scleral depressors are used during opthalmic examinations to gently indent the sclera, allowing clearer visualization of peripheral retinal structures. A scleral depressor helps to identify retinal tears, detachments, or degenerative areas that might otherwise be difficult to see. Various types, such as the Schocket or Flynn scleral depressor, offer differences in shape and ergonomics to suit your preference.
