Dilators

Pupil dilators are ophthalmic instruments designed to mechanically enlarge the pupil when pharmacologic dilation is insufficient or not possible. Instruments such as the Beehler pupil dilator provide controlled, evenly distributed stretching of the iris, enabling surgeons to obtain adequate visualization during cataract or anterior segment procedures.
