DSEK surgery, also known as Descemet's stripping endothelial keratoplasty, is a widely performed technique of corneal surgery for treating endothelial dysfunction. Specific DSEK instruments include DSEK spatulas, forceps, scrapes and smoothers used to precisely manipulate, strip, and position the thin, innermost layer (Descemet's membrane) of the cornea for transplantation.
